How We Report
Every restaurant named, every viewing spot listed, every hotel recommended has been visited by our team — at our own expense, unannounced, paid as a regular customer. No business can buy a favorable mention. We don’t accept comped meals, free stays, or press junkets in exchange for coverage. If we accept a comped experience for a clearly-labeled review, we say so at the top and bottom of the piece.
Sources are named when we can name them. Anonymous sourcing requires a real reason and editor sign-off. We don’t aggregate from other outlets without a link and clear attribution.
Sponsored Content
When a piece is sponsored, the word “Sponsored” appears at the top and bottom of the page, in the URL slug where possible, and the sponsor is named. Sponsors do not get to see drafts before publication and do not have editorial control over the content.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we publish the correction at the bottom of the original piece and log it here. We do not silently update articles. If a fact changes (a price, a phone number, a road closure), we add a dated update note.
Correction Log: No corrections to date. The log starts when the first one does. Spotted something wrong? Email [email protected].
How We Pay the Bills
Most travel sites aren’t transparent about this. We are. Revenue comes from four sources:
Regional partnerships with tourism boards and chambers of commerce. Visible, labeled, never editorial-controlling. Affiliate links to hotels, tours, and gear we’ve actually used — we earn a small commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. Premium guides like launch-weekend kits and relocation playbooks, sold directly. Realtor referrals through our relocation match form — one person, one realtor, no spam list, no list resale.
What we don’t do: programmatic display ads, sponsored placements disguised as editorial, paid backlinks, link-selling, list rentals, or anything that puts a third party between us and the reader.
Independence
Gulf to Orbit is an independent publication of Peakline Holdings, LLC. No venture capital, no parent media group. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SpaceX, NASA, the FAA, or any launch provider, agency, or government entity. Trademarks and imagery depicting third-party vehicles or facilities are used for editorial commentary under fair use.
